The Pepper Pot Cafe are set to open a bakery in George’s Street Arcade

The folks at The Pepper Pot have had a busy few weeks since they kicked off their soft reopening at the start of the month. The team launched their new signature pastry box, reopened their takeaway cafe in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre and are now planning to open a bakery. The team’s newest venture will be located down the road from their tea room, in George’s Street Arcade.

“We are so excited & honoured to be opening our bakery unit” the Pepper Pot team wrote on Instagram, “joining the eclectic mix of stall holders in this 1800s iconic Dublin institution”.

“Spent many a Saturday in my teens hanging out here eating chips & scouring the stalls for Pearl Jam t-shirts”.

The location of the bakery was deliberate, as the team were keen to have a new place to sell their wares while also staying close to the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.

The team are working hard on the “design and planning” of the new spot, but aim to announce their opening date soon.

The signature pastry box which launch earlier this month signalled a refocus on online products while the team refined their takeaway offering, “It’s part of our reopening and diversifying due to covid and how we’ve had to adapt our business,” Marian Kilcoyne told us.

The Pepper Pot Cafe are running takeaways out of Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, their signature pastry box are available to order from their website, follow them on Instagram for more information.
