Therapists are giving mental health advice on TikTok during lockdown

Words: Dylan Murphy

“Therapists you can vibe with.”

TikTok has become a huge driving force when it comes to pop culture. Fleetwood Mac reentered the charts after @420doggface208’s video of him skating down the freeway to ‘Dreams’ went viral. Likewise, music careers can burst into life after an artist’s song gets popular off a dance challenge on the app.

However, there is a educational side to TikTok that is also providing young people with short and digestible content.

A recent development sees therapists react to the ongoing global pandemic by offering free advice on the app to viewers.

The mental health professionals dancing is a little suspect, but they are bringing the wholesome and informative vibes that are needed as we go into what will be a difficult winter.
