Uwmami teams up with Martin Ocean on ‘Let Go’

Words: Dylan Murphy

Kick off your weekend with the collaborative effort.

Dublin-based singer and producer Uwmami has recruited Martin Ocean (formerly 2-20) for a colourful new single ‘Let Go’.

Inspired by the vocal effects used by the trailblazing acts weaving between pop, RnB and indie the pair breathed new life into an old recording.

Both of us are Tyler The Creator and Steve Lacy fans. Nikes by Frank ocean planted a seed for the vocal mix” Martin said.

Speaking on the production Uwmami explained her influences, “I was inspired by some 80s style production. I was listening to Kate Bush ‘Hounds of Love’ especially in adding the keys later on in the process, I wanted the production to have an energetic vibe and a colourful texture.
