Video premiere: Contour release ‘Existing Regardless of You’ visuals

Every time a new Contour track lands in our inbox we get excited. For us, they’re one of the most underrated talents on the island, producing forward-thinking electronica, exploring many different styles.

We’re excited to premiere their latest visuals.

“This video is is another exploration into how sound and visuals can merge and one can inform the other.

“For these visuals we mixed output generated in an oscilloscope plug in that can visualise the sounds and mixed them with audio reactive animations that were created with traditional animation tools and superimposed the results on pictures of oscilloscopes I found while trawling through vintage electronics shops in Berlin.”

The track is the darkest off their EP, “a dark rolling duel between a Roland SH101 and a Moog Rogue analogue synthesisers with a vocal line with a little nod to electroclash espousing that the dark weird underworld of electronic music and art will always exist, regardless of you, so bury yourself in the recesses of it”.
