‘Warm’ by Moncrieff Named ‘Irish Song of the Year’

The rest of the winners of the RTÉ Choice Music Awards will be announced in Vicar Street tonight.

The inaugural winner of the “Irish Song of the Year” award at the 2022 RTÉ Choice Music Awards is Warm by Moncrieff.

Moncrieff was joined in the category by Biig Piig with Kerosene, CMAT with Nashville and Cian Ducrot with All For You.

Fontaines D.C.’s I Love You has also made the shortlist, along with Lea Heart’s Happier, Dermot Kennedy’s Something to Someone.

The shortlist also included Welshy’s All Day, SELLÓ’s No Love and Ye Vagabonds’ Blue is the Eye.

The RTÉ Choice Music Prize Event will return to Vicar Street on March 9. The act behind the winning album of the year will receive a 10,000 euro prize funded by The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA).
