They have also revealed a four track EP is to drop in June.
Hailing from Greystones, Smoothboi Ezra is quickly developing a reputation as one of the country’s most compelling songwriters whilst simultaneously providing representation for those identifying as non-binary and people on the autism spectrum who traditionally lack public-facing representation.
Today, Ezra has continued their fine run of form with another subtle and considered track in the shape of ‘Stuck’.
The new video stars non-binary couple El and Lauren and lands alongside the announcement that they have a new EP landing in June. It follows a string of emotive singles such as ‘Familiar Sadness Is Too Comforting’ and ‘My Own Person’.
Ezra’s forthcoming EP Stuck examines the ins and outs of relationships and having inhaled the sounds of Soccer Mommy, Angel Olsen and Haley Heynderickx during lockdown, the EP posits a wisdom beyond their years.
Talking about the new single Ezra said, “‘Stuck’ is a song about being in a relationship with someone you care a lot about but you know it’s not going to work out. It’s an unsaid mutual agreement that you can feel the relationship ending but you’re both waiting on the other person to end it.”
