Word Up Collective’s latest recruit Daire Patel releases ‘Sirens’

It’s a confident release from the up-and-comer.

With his Christmas Day 2019 release ‘Hold Me Down’ approaching the 200k streaming mark and attracting a growing audience in the US, Daire Patel has returned with another journey into emotional, melodic hip-hop.

Joined by vocalist Aby Coulibaly, the track provides the first taste of his upcoming debut EP and builds on the momentum of his early releases. The latest artist to join the Word Up Collective roster alongside the likes of Tebi Rex and Natalya O’Flaherty, Patel combines a rap feel with a lo-fi bedroom pop sound influenced by the likes of Mac Miller and Frank Ocean.

Recorded at home during the COVID 19 lockdown, ‘Sirens’ sees Patel expand his sound with the track already receiving radio support from BBC Introducing and RTE 2FM.
