Nestled amongst Dingle’s cosy pubs lies the Other Voices Jameson Music Trail, where spontaneous gigs and sonic gold collide. From November 29 – December 1, there will be over 100+ live gigs to treat yourself to. From rising stars to well-kept secrets, here are the five artists you need to catch before the trail leads to your next music adventure.
After a series of pop up gigs across the UK and in Dublin, Maverick Sabre’s raw, emotive, and soulful vocals are hitting the Jameson music Trail at Other Voices, and we’re absolutely buzzing about it. Having just released his fifth studio album Burn The Right Things Down, you will get a taster of both his new and older material. His performances captivate audiences, making his sets intimate stand outs that you won’t forget. He is the perfect fit for Dingle’s intimate atmosphere, promising a very heartfelt experience.
This collaboration between Bell X1’s Paul Noonan and electronic producer Daithí offers a fresh fusion, blending indie mixes and lush padded electronic textures. Their gigs guarantee to get the room going. Their live sets are always dynamic and layered, providing us a sonic journey that’s both thought provoking and danceable.
A rapidly rising star who is changing the Irish hip hop landscape. His laid-back beats, mixed with his introspective lyrics and charismatic energy on stage are so infectious. His album What Was The Question? has had significant coverage from Ireland and beyond, and is completely deserved. Fresh from the stage of his headline gig in Workman’s as part of his UK & IE tour, he’s no doubt ready to take the OV Jameson Music Trail stage by storm later this month.
Her performances are dreamy and ethereal with electronic-punk, DnB pop and even rock twists. Annie-Dog’s seemingly endless talents in writing, recording, and producing are teamed up with her immense stage delivery. With her debut EP 15 announced for early next year, we hope to get a taster of her future releases with her hauntingly beautiful performance style, a perfect candidate for the OV Jameson Music Trail.
It’s clear that she is one of the most exciting DJs and producers on the electronic music scene. Or:la blends deep house, techno, and experimental sounds in her sets. Her tracks push boundaries which is obvious on her latest debut album Trusting Theta. If you miss her set, you only have your self to blame.
