District’s January Gig Guide: Dijon, SPRINTS, Tradfest & More

Happy 2026 from all of us at District. It’s time for the longest month in the history if months. But to beat those January blues, here are some lovely gigs worth leaving the house for. Mark them in your calendars. You won’t regret it.

TradFest Dublin

Ireland’s largest traditional & folk music festival. Experience the very best of live music in the heart of Dublin. The niche music festival that began in 2005 proves there’s no sign of stopping, as people trail across the world to attend year in and year out.

Annie-Dog

Venue: Upstairs At Whelan’s

It’s Ireland’s answer to indie-electro-pop-dnb fusion. Dublin’s Annie-Dog got her name from a Smashing Pumpkins song. Since her debut single ‘Pressures of the Heart’, the artist has been consistently performing at festivals in Ireland and beyond. This is the perfect was to brighten up your January.

Brigit Festival

The next Brigit’s weekend is going to be a special one. We have teamed up with Dublin City Council to host two intimate shows as part of Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women 2026, taking place on Friday, January 30 to Monday, February 2 will be set against the beautiful backdrop of the Abbey Presbyterian Church on Parnell Square. Headliners include Gemma Dunleavy and Muireann Bradley. Get your tickets before they’re gone.
