Absolut Spotlight: Sally Cinnamon Represents Two Decades of Irish Nightlife Evolution

When a DJ has been at the helm of the party for 25 years, you know they’re doing something right. Sally Cinnamon exemplifies a golden age of the Irish party, which some may be too young to remember. For over two decades, she has been a mainstay in Irish nightlife institutions and now she’ll be performing at Beyond The Pale this weekend.

You don’t have this much skin in the game without becoming a scholar of various sounds. The beautiful thing about a Sally Cinnamon set is that each one draws from a different world. Ranging from the psychedelic to the electronic to afro-sounds, no two sets are alike. A strong current of retro sounds run through her sets giving her selections the qulity of unifying generations.

There are two types of DJs, one that give an avalanche of bangers and ones that take you on a musical journey. Although Sally’s sets are far from devoid of stellar sounds, we’re also taken on an expedition, almost touching every continent with her selection. Nothing exemplifies this more than her Cabal, All aboard set. Skim through and you’ll be swung from jungle to italo-disco in a heartbeat, all whilst on a Viking ship.

A DJ in their purest form, Sally Cinnamon is representative of a persistent culture of nightlife joy even against all the odds in Ireland. You can catch her playing at the Club Cu-Cú stage from 01.00-03.00 on Saturday night at Beyond The Pale 2025. Look out for the Absolut bar serving cocktails nearby all weekend long. Click here to grab tickets.
