Bawo shares ‘Legitimate Cause’ EP ahead of tour

Words: Dylan Murphy

The London-based artist shares seven tracks of his trademark sincere rap.

Bawo has been busy the last few months. Having shared a number of singles and dished out an emotive guest verses on Louis Culture’s ‘7AM’ and artyn’s ‘LI’L ZÉ & BENNY’, he’s finally dropped his long-awaited EP Legitimate Cause.

The EP showcases his storytelling ability, putting his earnest songwriting into full focus as he details the transition of hobbyist to going for broke as an artist. It lands shortly after the video for ‘Not Just Yet’ which arrived earlier in January. Throughout the project, Bawo enlists features from Reek0, Oscar #Worldpeace and Ayeisha Raquel as he brings the fullest embodiment of his creative vision to date and comes ahead of The Conference Tour, his UK run of dates which kicks off on March 2.

January is a time for reflection and reassessment and Bawo is coming through just before the month is out to bring a solid dose of introspective bars for the ones taking time for themselves.
