Citrus impresses with debut project ‘Early Days/Late Nights’

This guy keeps getting better & better.

In December Michael O Donoghue, aka Citrus Fresh, aka Juicy Jeff, aka Trevor Tart, aka Zesty Supreme, gave the first taste of a forthcoming EP. It came via Limerick’s PX Music and was also our first time hearing material from the promising MC.

Both  tracks, ‘DICAPRIO‘ and ‘ANTENNA‘, are now part of his ‘Early Days/Late Nights’ project, the Limerick man’s debut EP.

Across five tracks, the rapper “plays out the aftermath of a failed relationship and gives us a glimpse inside the Citrus mind-set as he overcomes this common struggle”.

The EP features production from familiar names like AKIA, Naive Ted, as well as 40Hurtz who recently won MathMan’s Beat Battle Series in Limerick. He also recruited Hazey Haze for some additional vocals. The last time the pair linked up was on the excellent ‘Hindsight‘, which was the final instalment of the ‘Somewhere in Ireland’ series.
