Coffeeangel is Getting a New Location

Words: Shamim de Brún

The new spot will open on Hatch Street, competing with Pret A Manger and Starbucks, which have come to dominate the Iveagh Gardens locale.

The team behind Ireland’s indie darling turned high-calibre chain announced the new venue on Twitter this morning. The new Dublin 2 location will be their sixth after South Anne St, Pembroke St, Leinster St, Trinity St, and their IFSC base.

The Coffeeangel of today was founded on the ashes of a failed restaurant by Karl Purdy. The entrepreneur has always been perfectly candid about his past failures. In fact leads with them on Coffeeangel’s ‘About Us’ page.

Failure didn’t deter him and only made him more determined to succeed and committed to providing the best coffee and service he could manage. Coffeeangel was born of this. Coffeeangel is now made up of many incredible individuals. Karl aims to never lose sight of the simple values that have helped them get this far: “Enjoy what you do. Be passionate and always aim higher. Source beautiful, best-of-season beans. and brew the best cup of coffee you can”.

Keep an eye on their socials for the opening dates of Coffeeangel number four.
