Construction work calls a halt to Peploe’s at Home

By Emily Mullen

“We thank you for your continued support”

Anyone who has been around Stephen’s Green over the past couple of months might have noticed the temporary hoarding over Peploe’s restaurant. The structure was erected for the refurbishment of the rear/upper floors of the 16 St. Stephens Green building.

The recent reset of construction on the building has caused a headache for Peploe’s who are situated on the lower floor. The St. Stephen’s Green restaurant has halted their Peploe’s at Home service until further notice.

“Due to the recommencement of construction work above our restaurant, we have taken the decision to postpone our ‘Peploe’s at Home’ food offering until further notice,” proprietor Barry Canny wrote on Instagram.

The Peploe’s wine delivery service will continue through the warehouse.

“We look forward to welcoming you back to our restaurant in the near future,” Canny added.

The restaurant had been offering Peploe’s at Home offering for several months, which was populated with Brasserie-classics like côte de boeuf, beef Wellington and lobster thermidor.
