Charlie Brooker, the brain behind ‘Black Mirror‘ is working on a new project that’ll feature Hugh Grant.
In a year where there hasn’t been much to laugh about we have got some news that might make 2020 a little easier to digest. Charlie Brooker, the creator of dystopian Netflix cult favourite ‘Black Mirror’ is working on a mockumentary about 2020.
The news arrived courtesy of Hugh Grant, who revealed details of the project in an interview with New York magazine.
Netflix hasn’t commented on the news, but Grant has said that he will play a “repellent” historian with a wig.
Brooker gained plaudits for his Annual Wipe series, which ran on the BBC for ten years. It was a dark and humourous review of the year passed and ended due to his other commitments, in particular, ‘Black Mirror’.
The most recent series of Black Mirror featured the likes of Miley Cyrus and Anthony Mackie.
The news comes after Brooker revealed that he wouldn’t be working on a new series of the dystopian show in 2020 saying, “he’s not sure if audiences could stomach another season at the moment.”
