Dave calls Boris Johnston a ‘Real racist’ during powerful Brits Award performance

Dave also criticised the media’s treatment of Meghan Markle.

Streatham rapper Dave used his performance at this year’s Brit Awards to call out media bias and label the UK’s prime minister Boris Johnston a ‘racist’.

Dave released his debut album ‘Pyschodrama’ to widespread critical acclaim in 2019 and for his live performance of ‘Black’ he added an unreleased verse that took aim at Johnston and called for justice for the victims of Grenfell.

He rapped:

“It is racist whether or not it feels racist, the truth is our prime minister is a real racist”

He also called out the media’s treatment of Meghan Markle in comparison to Kate Middleton.

Dave won the Brit Awards Album of the Year for ‘Pyschodrama’.
