A fine artist by trade, Eoin is an Athlone-born, Dublin-based painter, whose defining works have caught eyes in the Irish art scene. Working with large scale canvases, limited colour palettes and often bringing in found objects to create multimedia paintings, he was commissioned last year by Teeling Whiskey to create a piece entitled ‘The Spirit of Dublin’, which now resides in their headquarters in The Liberties.
District’s head podcaster Adam Heaton headed down to Steambox Studios for a chat with Eoin about his artistic background, as well as his upcoming exhibition in collaboration with Damn Fine Print, entitled ‘Elvis Knows’. What does Elvis know? Listen below and find out.
‘Elvis Knows’ takes place this Thursday, August 17th in Frame pop up shop at 53 South William St. For more information and to RSVP click here.
The day is nearly upon us for the opening of “Elvis Knows” at FRAME on South William Street. It consists of 4 limited edition prints and 2 paintings. All of which will have beautiful bespoke frames made by @frame_dublin. This show is the culmination of work made during a residency with @damnfineprint . @whitehagbrewery will be our beer sponsor on the night so come on down and sup a can with us on the stoop. • • • • • • #screenprinting #print #damnfineprint #elvisknows #eoinfrancismccormack #painter #art #artist #dublin #frame #popup #exhibition #dublinart #irishart #framedublin #modernart #abstractart #collectors #limitededition
