Absolut Spotlight: Don’t Sleep On Todd Terje This Beyond The Pale

Todd Terje is an aficionado of soundtracking the sunshine. Production that feels robotic yet fluid, a retro-futurist sound just fits perfectly at a festival like Beyond The Pale. The Norwegian DJ/producer has been making disco-centric music for over 20 years, carving himself a place as one of the most prominent DJs of his genre.

Translating the colours of summer into a song is the best way to describe Terje’s work. Marked by his 2014 breakout project “It’s Album Time”, the project gives an unserious perspective on new wave dance music.

Often mixing playback with live instrumentals, a Terje performance truly makes you appreciate the artistry as well as the sounds. Synths, drums, pianos and full bands, smashing the old school and futuristic together.

A somewhat cosmic feel to his sound, a set is right at home in the otherworldly Glendalough setting. He’s been named by Rolling Stone as one of the “25 DJs That Rule the Earth” and has worked with royalty such as Four Tet, Bryan Ferry and Boney M.

Todd Terje is playing on Saturday at 19:00 at The Cirrus Stage at Beyond The Pale 2025, look out for the Absolut bar serving cocktails nearby all weekend long. Click here to grab tickets.
