In light of the current venue’s uncertain future it’s a critical time for Dublin Digital Radio. Today they launched their Fund:it campaign to raise €15,000 to build a new soundproof studio at The Complex, Arran Street East, Dublin 7.
With a continually growing community and an ambition to become Ireland’s premier alternative independent music broadcaster DDR is moving to The Complex. The move will facilitate the station’s ambitions and provide the necessary space to allow the platform to continue to thrive.
Co-Founder of Says Dublin Digital Radio co-founder Seán Finnan: “We have set ourselves an ambitious fundraising target that reflects our vision of creating a sustainable media platform dedicated to showcasing unheard voices. Dublin Digital Radio wants to offer a new, credible media platform for Ireland in the twenty first century, but in order to achieve that we need a first class studio and all donations towards our Fund:it will help make that a reality.”
All funding raised will go towards a new soundproof studio, upgraded studio equipment, furnishing an accompanying office, labour costs and other material.
In its third year in existence, the station is offering aficionados of the platform the opportunity to contribute towards their new home and equipment.
