Dublin Fringe Festival launches Associate Artist applications

Words: Ellen Kenny

Dublin Fringe Festival is recruiting two Associate Artists to consult with its members and create their own personal projects.

Dublin Fringe have introduced two new positions in their team for artists in Dublin. Applications to join Dublin Fringe as an Associate Artist opened today and will close Monday, November 21 at 17:00.

According to Dublin Fringe, they are “committed to ensuring that artists are part of the conversation in all aspects of our work and that our organisation is always working with an up-to-date awareness of the issues and experiences affecting our industry.”

The Associate Artists will provide consultancy and mentorship to members of the wider creative community in Dublin. They will also be involved in contributing to selection panels for recruitment and various open call processes and sharing skills with a wide network of peers and colleagues via FRINGE LAB.

“We believe that artists make a city worth living in. It is of strategic importance to Dublin Fringe Festival that artists have sustainable careers in the city,” Dublin Fringe said, “We want to invest in the work of exciting and ground-breaking artists whose work we believe in.”

Dublin Fringe recently hosted their annual Festival, working with 430 artists over two weeks in 586 performances in 27 venues.
