Dublin photographer Ellius Grace announces intimate portrait workshop
His extensive work for i-D, Dazed, Junior and District speaks for itself.
We first became enamoured with the portrait work of Ellius Grace shortly before launching District Issue 001. We knew working with him was a must, and he ended up shooting the cover story for that issue.
He’s since shot Mike Skinner for the cover of Issue 002, as well as several other features.
As well as being pestered by us, he also runs Junior Magazine with fellow Dublin photographer George Voronov, and has had work published in Dazed and several times in i-D.
His shots are striking but warm, and he seems to always find a way to make even the most intense subjects open up to him.
On October 28 and 29 Ellius will be teaching a portrait and street portrait workshop at The Tara Building as part of their Autumn series.
It will be a two-day intensive workshop, “encompassing history, theory and of course practice”.
