Dublin Production company launch fold up takeaway pint table

By Emily Mullen

Like a picnic table but for pints

With no reopening roadmap in sight, the likelihood of us drinking outside for the foreseeable has undoubtedly increased. Spotting a clear gap in the market for transportable alcohol holders, Dublin-based Flying Elephant has launched a new product.

Calling it the “Take Away Table” the table comes with a laminate easy wipe top, with six pint holders and folds into a tote bag. The table is multi-purpose as the top lifts off and transforms into a glass carrying tray.

“We listened to our followers who prefer pints over pinots and created a table with a handle so your pints reach their gardens safely and can do away with pesky plastic carriers,” the Flying Elephant team wrote on Instagram.

Before lockdown, the events company created bespoke builds for events such as concerts and festivals, which were all canceled overnight. The company adapted, switching to online and creating work from home furniture from leftover materials.

The table is available for €79.99 with free contactless delivery in Dublin through the Flying Elephant Productions website.

Elsewhere on District: There’s a food market set to launch on the grounds of The Iveagh Market
