Dublin’s most beloved popup burger joint is here to stay

By Emily Mullen

Ain’t nothing temporary about those burgers

Barry Wallace and his team will surely have a satisfying job when they remove the “pop-up” sign from the front of their Kevin Street shop front. There wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Dash Burger was going anywhere, but still, it’s nice to officially hear that it’s not. The smash burger joint has announced that its Portobello premises will become its permanent home.

Announcing their permanency, Dash Burger wrote on Instagram (in their signature all caps): “CANNOT THANK THE CREW ENOUGH AS THE GIFT OF THE GRAFT SHOULD NEVER BE OVERLOOKED. THANKS TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS AND THE AMAZING COMMUNITY OF D8. DASH BURGER IS HERE TO STAY”.

The burger joint run by Wallace was launched in Autumn last year, has had a phenomenal few months of service (despite the lockdown).

Dash Burger open Wednesday through Sunday until 10pm or until they sell out, follow them on Instagram for updates.
