EFÉ is trusting her own vision in ‘LIME’

Words: Dylan Murphy

Listen to the most motivating song you’ll hear this week below.

Dublin’s EFÉ is back with a self-affirming new single. ‘LIME’ lands after the release of ‘KIWI’ and comes ahead of her new EP VITAMIN C which is set to arrive in June this year.

The 22-year-old artist soundtracked the warmer months in 2020 with the string of bedroom-pop tracks that landed as part of her first EP What Should We Do This Summer and her sophomore project lands in June with the intentions to do it all over again. Mixed and mastered by Ben Baptie (Moses Sumney, Rex Orange County, Little Simz), and co-produced alongside her best friend who.killed.romeo, the EP arrives after support slots for JPEGMAFIA in Dublin and performances at The Great Escape in Brighton.

Speaking on the single, EFÉ says, “Lime is about people that try to convince you that you need them in order to be great, to succeed. I guess it is a song that pays homage to knowing your own self worth and knowing that you don’t need someone and you can be in charge of your own faith!!!”

Back in 2021 we selected EFÉ as one of 15 acts pushing the envelope in of our Future Of Irish Music 2021 feature.

‘LIME’ comes ahead of performances at Glastonbury this summer, with VITAMIN C arriving just ahead of the festival.
