“This past week felt like we’re putting ourselves, and Irish streetwear, on the map internationally.”
It was always only a matter of time before Emporium took on Paris. Last week, Emporium officially made its mark on the global fashion stage with its debut popup during Paris Fashion Week FW25, showcasing its latest collection at the Incubator by Impossible Objects showroom.
The FW25 collection offered a refined take on contemporary streetwear, featuring heavyweight fabrics, reversible logo hoods, 5-gauge knits, and a Paris-exclusive graphic series. Staying true to its roots, Emporium’s presence in Paris reflected its rapid rise from a local pop-up in 2018 to an internationally recognised name.
This was the first time Emporium has showcased their pieces in Paris. “At first, I was quite daunted by the idea of showcasing in Paris,” founder Robbie Fidgeon-Kavanagh told District, “but it was incredible to meet international buyers and key figures in fashion, and to finally present our work to a global audience.”
Once Robbie and the team hit Paris, they realised the pieces were speaking for themselves. “In fashion theres this expectation that it always needs to be a gradual process to get your pieces to the right people. But we realised that once you’re in the right space, you’re there. If your work is good enough, you don’t need an invitation—you’ll be taken seriously.”
Beyond the showroom, the brand’s immersive pop-up in Le Marais drew a crowd, offering live screen printing and limited-edition pieces, with the first 25 customers receiving a commemorative gift. “The response in Paris was amazing, and we had so much fun. A retail store in Paris would be a dream, but for now, we’re focusing on more international pop-ups—hopefully in New York or London next.”
