Erica Cody proves she’s destined for international acclaim with new R&B banger

“As a young and ambitious teenager, I quickly learned who to trust. ‘Over & Over’ was written about a particular day, that my kindness was taken for weakness.”

Last year Erica Cody was a newcomer, but after firmly establishing herself by a string of singles and knock out festival and support slot performances she’s fast becoming a bonafide popstar.

With clear influences from the likes of Jodeci, Aaliyah and Brandy, Erica sprinkles modernity onto a throwback R&B style.

“As a young and ambitious teenager, I quickly learned who to trust. ‘Over & Over’ was written about a particular day, that my kindness was taken for weakness. I put my trust in someone and was told the same thing over and over until I gave up on them. My attitude towards time and who I gave it to, changed after that day. Time is precious, don’t take it for granted.”

Erica’s EP ‘Leoness’ arrives this year, click here to read our interview with her where she discusses the project in more detail.
