Words: Eva O’Beirne

With the CAO Late Applications open until May 1, the BIMM Institute Dublin invites prospective students to follow in the footsteps of artists like Fontaines D.C. The Murder Capital and Jafaris by applying to their third-level courses.

BIMM Dublin’s industry-led courses are designed for its students to achieve a successful and sustainable career. Whichever area of music interests you, the music institute is sure to have something that can match your passion.

Featured courses include their BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music programme which is validated by Technological University Dublin. This four-year course allows students to study one of the following: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, Songwriting and Music Production, with late applications being accepted via the CAO until May 1.

BIMM also offers a year-long Foundation Diploma in Professional Musicianship, from which 75 per cent of graduates continue to complete the BA (Hons) in Commercial Modern music. Applications for this course close on July 31 and are made directly through BIMM. Prospective students can also pursue a year-long diploma in Music and Audio Production or Music Business.

For those who have already completed a Bachelor’s Degree, BIMM offers a Master’s program in Popular Music Practice which is awarded at Level 7 on the NFQ for UK and Northern Ireland and at Level 9 Postgraduate Degree on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. The applications for the MA in Popular Music Practice close on July 31.

With a host of successful alumni such as Gemma Bradley, Ciara O’Connor (Dua Lipa), Craig Fitzgerald (The Academic) and THUMPER, BIMM Institute Dublin aims to equip its students with industry expertise and give them exposure to regular live events in some of Dublin’s best venues.
