Fika, one of Bray’s best loved spots is closing

Words: Emily Mullen

“It is with heavy hearts we must announce that Fika will be closing”

One of Bray’s best-loved eateries, Fika will be closing on 30th September. The rooftop bar come restaurant announced the news on August 30, that their “lease is up and we will have to move on”.

The Fika team wrote that they were “on the hunt for somewhere new” and encouraged followers to get in touch if they know of a suitable location.

Beginning as a popup, Fika quickly grew into one of the go-to spots in the seaside town for brunch and cocktail options.

Speaking about the past year the team wrote, “Through such a hard year we hope we created a little haven to enjoy the good things in life,” they added, “We hope to see everyone pop up to us over the next few weeks and have one (or more) last hurrah up on the roof!”

It’s unknown whether this closure will impact Box Burger or Platform Pizza Bar which operate out of the same building.

Fika will be operating from Bray’s 7 Strand Road, Brennan’s Parade until September 30th, follow them on Instagram for updates.
