FlyLo’s film ‘Kuso’ is getting a wide release this summer

After his breathtaking 3D performance at Bulmers Forbidden Fruit, here’s some more good news for fans of Flying Lotus.

Brainfeeder boss Flying Lotus has confirmed that his debut feature-length directorial debut has finally gotten a wide-release date. ‘Kuso’ features original music from Aphex Twin, Thundercat, Akira Yamoaka and FlyLo himself, and stars the likes of Tim Heidecker, Hannibal Buress, George Clinton and more.

On Twitter, FlyLo confirmed Shudder had the streaming rights and gave his reasons for choosing the platform, saying it’s the “Best curation of horror films and weirdo shit”.

As well as saying that Netflix are “scared as fuck” of him, he also said Shudder have been the first ones looking to acquire ‘Kuso’  since its Sundance premiere.

“I’m so glad my first film will be in the best home possible.”

Shudder is a “horror-focused video streaming” site, and they have the rights to Kuso in North American, Ireland and the UK. It will be available to watch online from July 21.

There’s no word yet on if the film will be screened in cinemas in Europe.
