FRANK ZING are feeling nostalgic for warmer days in ‘Summer Lovers’

Words: Dylan Murphy

The duo are back with a sun-kissed video.

Way back in August, FRANK ZING introduced themselves with ‘Summer Lovers’ and now they’ve returned before the year is out with considered visuals for their debut track.

Filmed in Berlin where the duo spent their summer, it comes after they immersed themselves in the creative cultural and explored the city over the course of a few months.

Featuring Sara, AKA roller skating aficionado WheelyRainbow, and dancer and film-maker Jessica Garfield, the video sees them ride the waves of emotion that come with making peace with one’s memories.

Speaking on the new track they said, “The song is about trying to resist the irresistible and we were interested in conveying that idea through movement. Both characters set out to try to forget the other by getting physical – roaming the streets, dancing, rollerblading. But no matter what they do, the memories keep flooding back.”

The video was made by the duo behind FRANK ZING (Rob de Boer and Chris Wong) along with friends and collaborators Aoife Leonard and Lucy Bowen. The four met working on a music video for Ruth Mac, kickstarting a series of further collaborations.
