Gemma Dunleavy announces Up De Flats – The Remixes

Words: Dylan Murphy

The remix project features reworkings from Sharda, DJ Selky, Swing Ting and Prozak. Listen to the Swing Ting remix of ‘Cruisin‘ below.

Last July, Dublin singer and producer Gemma Dunleavy shared her debut EP Up De Flats, a project that celebrates the community that raised her with the title track earning a nomination for the Choice Prize Song of the Year.

Now, Gemma has revealed that a full remix project is landing on October 22. The four track release features reworkings from Sharda, DJ Selky, Swing Ting and Prozak and today she’s shared the Swing Ting remix of ‘Cruisin’.

The news comes after Gemma performed the title track on The Tommy Tiernan Show and she was awarded The Markievicz Award by the Irish Arts Council in 2021.

Across October and November Gemma is hitting the road, with shows in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. Up De Flats – The Remixes will be accompanied by a limited number of cassette tapes and t-shirts.
