GOOD TIMES: George Feely, Kelly Doherty, R. Kitt & Sam Greenwood to play WigWam Livestream

Words: Dylan Murphy

District have teamed up with four of the country’s leading DJs for a unique live stream to celebrate the clubs that brought us together in the absence of club nights.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Bodytonic venues have come to shape youth culture and nightlife in Dublin in recent years. Hosting some of the most impressive DJs in the world whilst championing homegrown talent in the city centre The Twisted Pepper and now Wigwam have been a lynchpin in some of the most memorable night’s in the capital’s collective psyche.

While we might not be able to meet up in the same way at the moment, we are teaming up with the venue to provide an injection of nostalgia whilst simultaneously looking forward to brighter days.

Coming straight from the heart of the capital’s cultural hubs, WigWam, four omnipresent Irish acts will play 45-minute sets in anticipation of the clubs return. As society slowly reopens and confidence builds Kelly Doherty, George Feely, R.Kitt and Sam Greenwood will take viewers on a journey through the tracks that soundtracked the ceiling-slapping nights that shook up the city and classics that carved out a place in the history in the legendary but now defunct Twisted Pepper.

The full video featuring George Feely, R.Kitt, Kelly Doherty and Sam Greenwood will launch tomorrow (04/06/21) on District’s YouTube. Following that, each artists’ separate cut will be released individually in the 4 days that follow respectively.
