Hen’s Teeth to host art exhibition ‘Black Girl Magic’ curated by Honey Dijon

Honey Dijon to link up with Marina Esmeraldo in a massive exhibition at Hen’s Teeth.

Following the launch in London at Dover Street Market on 5 March, a new exhibition curated by Honey Dijon will take place over the course of a month in collaboration with Marina Esmeraldo.

‘Black Girl Magic’ celebrates six black female music icons chosen by artist and DJ Honey Dijon in bright and bold, large-scale neons, designed by artist and long-time Hen’s Teeth collaborator Marina Esmeraldo.

Launching on 12 March the event will have limited edition neons of Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Grace Jones, Sade, Erykah Badu, and Sylvester, along with limited edition A2 & A 3 giclée prints, canvas totes and postcards, will be available to buy at Dover Street Market and online at Hen’s Teeth website from 5 March.

Speaking about the concept for the show, Greg Spring, creative director at Hen’s Teeth, said “This is Hen’s Teeth’s first big international show and the first in a series of planned exhibits that will see us creating shows with musicians and artists who have never curated shows before. To be doing it with our longtime collaborator Marina Esmeraldo and Honey Dijon, an icon in her own right, who has collaborated with COMME des GARÇONS and Dior in the past year and now Hen’s Teeth, is an unbelievable honour.”

The opening takes place 12 March from 18:00- 22:00 and it’s free admission.
