CUPRA is returning with their ‘On The Pulse’ competition to give a budding DJ a slot at one of Ireland’s biggest festivals.
Beyond The Pale is running from 12 to 14 June and with that ’On The Pulse’ returns for its third instalment. CUPRA are looking for Irish DJs to submit their finest mixes to be in with a chance of winning €2500 and become a part of Beyond The Pale’s lineup. This is a chance to put yourself in the spotlight and take your DJing journey to the next level. You can submit your mix here.

If you fancy yourself a selector, you can submit a maximum 45-minute set, with the winner playing the late-night forest at Beyond The Pale under the Club CuCú x CUPRA banner. After hitting huge international festivals like Primavera Sound and branching out virtually through curated playlists, DJ sets, artist interviews, CUPRA is landing at Beyond The Pale to help give momentum to a new generation of Irish music.
Last year, we saw over 450 mixes submitted. This year, five DJs will be selected to battle it out at a live final in Dublin in front of a panel of industry professionals and the general public. Whoever is crowned the winner on the night will earn the cash prize and a prime time slot at one of Ireland’s favourite festivals. Sets will be judged on technical skill, originality, and creativity. Any genre, any tempo, just come correct with the créme de la créme of tracks on your USB. Year-on-year the competition has grown, shining a light on a burgeoning Irish electronic scene.
Irish electronic music is entering a defining new chapter. Grassroots enthusiasm for the genre is as strong as ever and that renewed energy is clearly reflected across Dublin’s club scene. With venues like Index continuing to grow and Irish acts such as Kettama and BICEP commanding international attention, a fresh wave of deeply committed artists and audiences is shaping the landscape.
That said, the scene is far from frictionless. Despite its creative momentum, Irish nightlife continues to contend with regulatory pressures and the ongoing struggle for broader recognition of the night-time economy’s cultural and economic value.
This is a fantastic opporutnity for you to cut through the noise and let your sound be heard. With the standards set so high from previous years, this year can only continue the momentum.
