Indigo and Cloth to give away free coffee on Friday

Artisinal coffee shop Indigo and Cloth in Temple Bar will be giving away free coffee on Friday, March 25.

The giveaway runs from 11:00 to 17:00, is limited to oat-based coffee drinks and is in association with Minor Figures oat milk.

The giveaway is part of Freedays, a promotion by Minor Figures. On select Fridays, customers can get a free coffee from participating cafes when they ask for it with Minor Figures Barista Oat. Minor Figures then pick up the cost of the coffee.

The promotion was inspired by their experience working in small, independent coffee shops. After seeing the toll, the pandemic has taken on them; they wanted to see more people supporting local and opting for oat. And so Freedays was born.

Founded in 2014, Minor Figures is a London-based coffee company. They sell a range of ready-to-drink products, including a nitro cold brew, a chai and a mocha. In 2018, and accompanying a brand refresh, it launched its oat milk, quickly gaining cult status. In 2020, its white one-litre Oat M*lk cartons became its best-selling product, and Minor Figures became more known for its milk alternative than its cold brew coffee.

Indigo & Cloth is a lifestyle store & speciality café located in Temple Bar, opposite the Project Arts Centre. Opened in 2007, their speciality café features an ever-changing list of international coffee roasters. While espresso options are available in-store, they focus on filter coffee and speciality beans.
