Irish Design Week Just Dropped Their Biggest Lineup Yet

Over 65 events have been confirmed across 15 counties. To see the full schedule, find out more, and book tickets visit the IDW website.

Design & Crafts Council Ireland has officially launched its biggest Irish Design Week to date, with over 65 events confirmed across 15 counties between 17-21 November 2025. From architecture to fashion and digital to social design, this year’s theme is ‘The Ties that Tie and the Links that Link‘, and celebrates collaboration both at home and across global creative networks.

At the heart of the programme are five headline events in Dublin’s Royal Irish Academy of Music, featuring international keynote speakers including fashion designer Sinéad O’Dwyer, award-winning architect and curator Jayden Ali, and Australian interior designer and TV personality Banjo Beale

Returning to Ireland decades after interning at Kilkenny Design Workshops,  Pradyumna Vyas, President of the World Design Organisation, will mark the 60th anniversary of the influential studio: “The collaborative ethos I experienced in Ireland has stayed with me throughout my career,” he said. “Irish design continues to act as a catalyst for innovation.”

Backed by Ireland’s leading design institutions, including NCAD, ICAD, the Irish Architecture Foundation and 100 Archive, the programme also includes the Design Diplomacy series: five cross-cultural conversations between Irish and international designers, from interiors to sound and communication.

Finnish graffiti and contemporary artist EGS will be presenting his project ‘Three Letters, Three Wells – A Pilgrimage in Glass’ as part of Irish Design Week.

Regional events are also major part of IDW’s identity, and 2025’s line-up features standout projects like Emergent Sound System in Limerick, Suppose a Stone in Wicklow, and a medtech design summit in Galway. Over 30 DCCI-funded events will take place nationwide, creating space for local studios, students and emerging talent to be part of a national and global conversation.

Tom Watts, DCCI’s Head of Design, summed it up. “This is our most ambitious programme yet with over 65 events across 15 counties. This year’s theme, The Ties that Tie and the Links that Link, celebrates the collaborative spirit that has always defined Irish design while connecting us to global networks and new ideas.”
