His website is currently fairly sparse, with just this string of text
“. . – – – / – . . . . / . – . – . – / . . . . . / . – . – . – / . – – – – / – – . . .”
which translates from Morse code to the phrase “26.5.17”, just ten days from today.
As well as this, there’s a link on the site to this Spotify playlist by James Vincent McMorrow, whose artwork is also McMorrow’s new Twitter icon. This playlist contains three songs by unnamed artists, named with empty brackets. These soft, short, beat led tracks sound very evocative of McMorrow’s recent album, albeit in sketch form.
So we paid a little bit closer attention and started digging around in the source code for his website, and found the phrase “True Care 2” in the HTML. Does this mean that McMorrow, fresh off of his well-received 2016 album “We Move”, is going to release a new album called “True Care 2” in ten days time?
Let’s hope so, and at the very least we can expect something from the the Dublin artist very soon.
