It’s Not Just Music You Can Experience At Beyond The Pale

When we think of Beyond The Pale, the first thing we think of is the line up. Which, is not surprising. But what makes this Wicklow woodland truly unique is the combination of both the music and the experiences beyond the speakers. Get your tickets here.

Across the weekend, the festival grounds will transform into a living creative space. At the centre of it all is the Arts Programme, the beating heart of the festival. Alongside immersive installations, theatre, and visual art, there will be live art performances, artist residencies, and new commissions. It’s utopian, it’s dreamy, and everyone is welcome. The festival received nearly 500 arts applications from Ireland and abroad, and the official line up will be announced over the coming weeks.

Food is also a huge part of the cultural offering at BTP. The festival brings together some of Ireland’s most exciting culinary talent. Not only will there be global cuisines across the vendors, but also talks, tastings, and curated dining experiences. It’s the perfect nourishment for the weekend.

As well as this, the festival’s dedicated wellbeing space offers a chance to rest. The area named Acushla is set in a peaceful riverside location. There are sauna sessions, yoga, and massages. With Glendalough as the backdrop, what’s not to love?

New for 2026, is the Round Tower Lounge. This is a premium retreat within the main area, with a private bar, luxury facilities, and a dedicated lounge space. This means exclusive bar access serving beers, bubbles and cocktails, luxury toilets, a chill-out space, covered seating to relax, and street food options available. Need to recharge, but still want to be able to see what’s going on the main stage? This is your place to go.

What’s also so ideal, is that Beyond The Pale is for all ages. The family programming includes interactive workshops, storytelling, and creative activities. And if you’re looking for a walk, ‘Beyond The Trail’ offers participants the chance to walk the Wicklow Way to the festival itself, fundraising for Dublin Simon Community while experiencing the most stunning scenery in Ireland’s ancient east.

If you’re feeling fancy, you could also try the boutique camping. With their Yippee tents, saunas, hot tubs, a private bar, pamper parlours, and more private facilities, the BTP glampsite could elevate your experience even further.

But whether you’re laying low in your own tent, or glamping it up, there truly is something for everyone at this festival.

Beyond The Pale isn’t just a place you go to see artists. It’s a world you step into for the weekend, and exist a little differently for a while.
