Jehnova is moving forward in ‘ressa’

Words: Dylan Murphy

The Nuxsense spitter links up with luthorist ahead of his collaborative tape with lod.

Nuxsense returned earlier this month with their single ‘TASTE’ and the collective’s very own Jehnova is keeping up the momentum on his solo forray with his latest single ‘ressa’.

It lands ahead of his colalborative tape with producer lod and sees him link up with long time friend and fellow crew member luthorist for a hazey and laidback anthem.

Challenging his self-talk in an effort to keep moving forward in the face of a seemingly never-ending lockdown, Jehnova bottles up the frustration of the past year and channels it in an old-school hip hop inspired cut.

Speaking on the track lod said, “This beat is probably my favourite on the album and also happens to be the one that took the least amount of time. The sample chops came together super quick. I wanted to try couple both grit and groove together on a track that the two boys could glide over.”

‘ressa’ comes ahead of the avenoir tape due to drop April 30.
