Juniors announce new concept led by head chef Fiachra Kenny

Words: Emily Mullen

The Dublin 4 evening cafe’s revamp will be rolled out from the end of August

Representatives from Juniors have announced that the evening cafe will be undergoing some serious changes. After 13 years of service, the team announced that they would be “taking an opportunity to try something new”.

“From the end of August, we will stop serving dinner and brunch while we get some construction work done to allow us to relaunch in November with Fiachra Kenny at the helm,” the statement issued on August 16 reads. The team added that they are “very excited” about the new concept, which will get underway in a matter of days.

The team added that they would continue to serve breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday after August and “for a long time to come.”

Customers have been warned that they are running out of time to “taste of our Pint of Prawns or any other Juniors classic, you have until the end of this month to book a table.”

The new concept will be led by head chef Fiachra Kenny, who started in Juniors in March 2020, moving from his tenure as head chef of The Old Spot.

A couple of weeks back Juniors launched an updated menu, drawing inspiration from in-season produce alongside the summer season’s produce of peas and delicate greens, tomatoes and fresh stone fruits

“Cooking food to compliment the season, using light flavours and opposing colours present in the seasonal produce to create summertime dishes,” Kenny said.

You can find Juniors on Dublin 4’s 2 Bath Avenue, follow them on Instagram for more information.
