Know Your Rights: Work Life Balance Edition

Find out more about your rights on February 22nd, at the Generator Hostel Pop Up Gallery in Smithfield.

Whether you’ve just entered the workforce, you’re looking for your next role, or have been working in Ireland for years, knowing your employment rights is essential. Navigating the world of work can be daunting, particularly if you are in the early stages of your career, and understanding the rights that protect you on the job can make all the difference in your career and personal life.

That’s why the European Commission’s Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion is bringing the ‘Let’s Make It Work’ interactive information stand to Dublin; to promote and increase awareness of citizens’ EU Social Rights. The stand strives to demystify your employment and social rights, and empower fairness at work. At the interactive stand, attendees can participate and discuss topics like work-life balance, equal opportunities, and skills development. There will also be a chance to participate in a quiz, share opinions on a sticker wall, and discover more valuable resources. The information shared is there to empower, but this is also a call to action for real change by fighting inequality and promoting social inclusion at work.

Mark your calendars for February 22nd, and head down to Smithfield where you can find out more about your rights at the ‘Let’s Make It Work’ stand hosted by Amanda Adé. Aside from the informative activities, Ryan from Heartbreak Social Club will be there offering live tattooing and permanent jewellery sessions. This is a chance to have a conversation, network with peers, and learn how you can leverage your rights to build a more secure and fulfilling career.

By breaking down complex policies into clear, actionable insights, the stand aims to build trust in the EU as a defender of social rights and to encourage you to up-skill and find new job opportunities. For young Irish professionals and anyone passionate about creating a fairer working world, this stand  at the Pop Up Gallery (PUG) is not to be missed. Visit the “Let’s Make it Work” website for more information and resources in your language.
