It’s an immersive new record from the Waterford rapper and drummer.
21 year old rapper and producer Alex Gough has dropped his most eclectic and immersive work to date.
Following on from last year’s project ‘80%’, Gough has borrowed from 80s and 90s street and skate culture for his latest release. It sees him build on his reptuation as one of the country’s most exciting acts, with much of the self-produced cuts packing an extra punch.
Alex also enlisted Nate Burgess (Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats ‘Unlocked’) to mix the record.
On the new mixtape Alex said,”I’ve always had a love for 80s/90s culture, aesthetic, style and all that. FOREVER CLASSIC is my way of paying homage to the things I love about that era while also keeping it me.”.
“This was written as a mixtape but there’s a lot of concept behind it. I always try to tell some sort of story, there’s always little details and connections in my music. The intro and title track is really the whole emotional and conceptual elements of the project in a nutshell. Everything in it links to something else but I’ll let you figure that out…”
