The Burren was named as one of the top 30 places in the world to visit by Lonely Planet. The County Clare businesses were praised for their sustainable practice.
The Burren Ecotourism Network brought over 70 enterprises together across The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher to ensure a sustainable tourism plan for the area.
Lonely Planet awarded Clare’s Loop Head, Burren Food Trail and Scattery Island the European Destination of Excellence status for their promotion of sustainable practices.
