Lowkick Share Shapeshifting ‘Heartbeat Pt. 2’ with half pipe

Words: Dylan Murphy

The Dublin trio have returned with frequent collaborator half pipe on the follow up to its nocturnal predecessor.

Lowkick came through as a fresh breath of air with a consistent stream of singles in 2022. Their electronic meets rap approach and confessional storytelling was key in their inclusion in our Future of Irish Music 2023 program. Pulling influences ranging from Mount Kimbie to Four Tet, the trio’s producer Maxime routinely creates nostalgic backdrops for their relatable coming of age tales.

Today, they’ve released ‘Heartbeat Pt.2′ which is not only the successor in name but in spirit to ‘Heartbeat’. Inviting close friend and collaborator half pipe on the cut, it’s another in house creation that extends their slowly unfurling universe.

It comes after the group collaborated with Saoirse Miller on ‘Electricity’ last week.
