Loyle Carner announces third Vicar St date

Words: Ciarán Howley

Due to phenomenal demand, Loyle Carner has announced he will play Vicar St a third time in February 2023.

It’s been announced today that Loyle Carner will play a third show at Vicar St on Sunday February 19 next year. After selling out two initial dates on the 20 and 21, “phenomenal demand” has prompted the scheduling of a third show.

Tickets will go on sale from Ticketmaster later this week. Presale and Promoter tickets will be available from Thursday 6 October from 9.00 while general release will begin on Friday 7 from 9.00.

The 27 year hip-hop act broke out in 2017 with the release of his Mercury Prize-nominated debut Yesterday’s Gone. Carner’s first ever gig however was in 2012 at the Button Factory where he played support for rap’s masked supervillain MF DOOM, who passed in October 2020.

Carner’s forthcoming third album ‘Hugo’ is set for release on October 21 this year from AMF Records. Last August, Carner shared the album’s tracklist and the title track with fans.

So if you missed out on tickets the first (and second) time around, Loyle Carner is giving Dublin fans a chance to catch him next February at Vicar St.
