Lucy McWilliams Is Playing The Grand Social Tomorrow

Words: Dylan Murphy

Having just introduced a new era with her Third Second Chance EP, Lucy McWilliams is has a headline show in Dublin.

Future of Irish Music alumni Lucy McWilliams came through with a stunning new EP this month. Third Second Chance sees her develop a fuller pop sound in collaboration with producers like Zach Dawes (Lana Del Rey, Sharon Van Etten) and Taylor Locke and to celebrate, she’s hosting a headline show in The Grand Social tomorrow night (Thursday 28 March).

It comes after she released ‘Plastic‘ ‘Old Ways‘ and ‘Follow Me‘. ‘Old Ways’ in particular showcases her graduation from emerging local artist to a serious one to watch, with her songwriting honing in on the experience of breaking free from a life that no longer serves her. It’s cinematic, big and a far cry from some of the more intimate whispers of her early work.

You can hear that and the rest of her new EP at the Grand Social this Thursday 28 March. Click here for tickets.
