New Albums: Drake, Cruel Sister & more

Words: Dylan Murphy

With the endless onslaught of new music every Friday it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases. We’ve curated the essential new albums and projects out today for you to check out.

Cruel Sister – Turgid

Following 2022’s girls my age, Dublin singer Cruel Sister returns with her second EP in as many years. Turgid, according to the artist herself is “is me exploring my own brain in a more frank way, allowing myself to let the less desirable parts of myself come through and accepting they exist”.

This is headphones music. The type filled with wall to wall of self-reflective and mystic cuts that hit different in the depths of Autumn.

Drake – For All The Dogs

Frank Ocean samples, features from the game’s heavy hitters and more than a few corny Drakeisms. Not that we expected anything different. Drake’s For All The Dogs lands at the tail end of his North American tour.

Slauson Malone 1 – EXCELSIOR

The new WARP signee Slauson Malone shares his debut album ahead of a North American and European tour and after he toured with Injury Reserve.

ODUMODUBLVCK – EZIOKWU

Having gone viral earlier in the year for his track ‘DECLAN RICE’, ODUMODULVCK shares his new mixtape that features guest appearances from Amaarae, Wale, Fireboy DML and more. The album artwork was also created by British-Nigerian designer and artist, Slawn.
