New Albums: Kaytranada, Isaiah Rashad, Blackhaine

Words: Dylan Murphy

With the endless onslaught of new music every Friday it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases. We’ve curated the essential new albums and projects out today for you to check out.

Hazey Haze – Epitome

South west spitter Hazey Haze managed to squeeze in one final release before the end of the year. Epitome sees him link up with Danny Lanham over 11 tracks.

Kaytranada – Intimidated

Following his GRAMMY win and the release of ‘Caution’ in February, KAYTRANADA has returned with a three track EP featuring three heavy hitters in Thundercat, H.E.R and fellow enigmatic Haitian Mach-Hommy.

Blackhaine – And Salford Falls Apart

One of the north west’s driving creative forces, Blackhaine is putting his hometown on the map with his instantly recognisable sound. It comes after the multi-hyphenate choreographed Kanye West’s Donda listening party earlier this year.

Isaiah Rashad – The House Is Burning [homies begged]

TDE’s Isaiah Rashad is back with the deluxe version of The House Is Burning, with new tracks featuring Project Pat, Juicy J, Young Nudy, Deante’ Hitchcock and UMI.

Clams Casino – Winter Flower

Not long after the tenth anniversary of A$AP Rocky’s Live.Love.A$AP, Clams revealed ‘Water Theme 2′ and the Winter Flower.

Jean Deaux – Most Wanted

Having established herself as one of Chicago’s most impressive voices and having worked with the likes of Saba, Isaiah Rashad and Mick Jenkins, Jean Deaux today shares her Most Wanted EP.

DeBe – D2DA

New EP from rising Northampton rapper DeBe.

Lethal Dialect – Songs of a Dead Dreamer

A mainstay of the Irish scene, Dublin rapper Lethal Dialect’s latest album’s physical version comes with Tarot Cards and a bonus track ‘Grimscribe‘. You can cop it at the link in his Instagram bio.

Elsewhere on District: 10 breakthrough Irish rap artists in 2021.
