With the endless onslaught of new music every Friday it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases. We’ve curated the essential new albums and projects out today for you to check out.

Wiki – Half God

Produced entirely by Navy Blue, Half God is New York rapper Wiki in his element. Going over a number of drumless instrumentals the 16 track project is an Avengers Assemble moment of the abstract rap movement with MIKE, Earl Sweatshirt and Navy joining forces with the former XL Recordings artist.

Cookin Soul – Good Job

Compilation album from producer Cookin Soul that sees him mix vocals from Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs and more over beats.

Lil Wayne & Rich The Kid – Trust Fund Babies

New collaborative album that marks the first Lil Wayne project since 2020’s Funeral, and Rich’s first since his Lucky 7 EP.

Headie One – Too Loyal for My Own Good

Featureless mixtape from one of the UK’s biggest drill artists.

Tirzah – Colourgrade

London-based singer-songwriter’s follow up to her 2018 debut, Devotion.

RAY BLK – Access Denied

Giggs, Stefflon Don and Kojey Radical all make appearances on the long-awaited debut album from RAY BLK.

In The Echo: Field Recordings From Earlsfort Terrace

An eight-track concept compilation album curated and produced by Ross Turner. Recorded in various locations in the historic National Concert Hall building in Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin – ranging from old lecture theatres, to dis-used stairwells, to a former morgue.

Featuring contributions from Lisa O’Neill & Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Katie Kim & Seán Mac Erlaine, Paul Noonan & Roger Moffatt, Eileen Carpio & Sean Carpio, Conor O’Brien & Cian Nugent, Brigid Mae Power & Adrian Crowley, Saileóg Ní Cheannabháin & Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, & Lisa Hannigan & Crash Ensemble.

Elsewhere on District: How Aches became Ireland’s biggest street artist.
