New cocktail bar opens today on Talbot Street

Alongside its own range of wings, Electric Circus serves signature drinks in a cosy surrounding.

Situated between two Guineys where The Celt was Electric Circus is going to be a new permanent venue. Owned and operated by the Tynan family who ran The Celt for twenty-five years and opened up Mema’s on Parnell Street a little over three years ago. Mema’s has since become a destination venue in Dublin’s northside inner city.

In a massive shift away from the decor of The Celt, Electric Circus has a Moroccan inspired decor full of bright colours and carpeted seating. They will also have a full menu where their signature dish is ‘Mummy’s Mac and Cheese’ with buffalo hot sauce. There will be a diverse cocktail menu with signature shots.

When asked about the opening the Tynan family said “we could see that this pocket of the city was still crying out for more venues that cater to today’s progressive alternative thinking young people, so we decided to launch Electric Circus”.

Talbot Street is a much-used connector pathway for pedestrians that has been neglected in many ways. The street has many vacant buildings and social issues. Recently there has been an uptick in investment in the area with artisan coffee shops cropping up. Lidl took up residence on Talbot Street recently too. This new bar marks the first investment in nightlife culture in the area and is a sure sign of growth

Their initial opening hours will be 15:00 – 23:30 Monday to Thursday, 15:00 – 00:30 Friday to Saturday and 15:00 – 23:00 Sunday. These hours may change as they progress but they will keep everyone well informed on their Instagram.
